Who can register a .sa domain?
Any business with a Saudi commercial registration, and any individual with a national ID or Premium Residency. Identity is confirmed through Nafath, and a business's register is checked, before the request is filed.
Do I need a commercial registration?
Not necessarily. A national ID or Premium Residency is enough for an individual; a business uses its commercial registration or another document that shows its activity. The amount is charged when the request is filed and refunded in full if it is not accepted.
How long does registration take?
Most requests take a few working days: Wojod reviews the request first, then the registry. If the registry asks for documents, your domain page says so.
What does the yearly price include?
The domain itself, DNS management on Wojod's nameservers, and the connection to your Wojod site. Prices include VAT.
What happens if I don't renew?
A name that is not renewed enters a 30-day restore period, then is released. Your domain page shows the expiry date and lets you request the renewal.
Can I move an existing .sa domain to Wojod?
Yes. Enter the name and the transfer code from your current registrar on the transfer page in your account; Wojod reviews the request before sending it to the registry. The transfer years are paid at the registration price, and the amount is refunded in full if the transfer does not complete.
Do I need a website to register?
No. Register the name now and attach it to a site later; email and websites work on the same domain.
